Figueretes

Figueretes is the nearest 'resort' to Ibiza Town, and as such has always been popular with gay visitors. Most gay holiday companies have a number of hotels/apartments in Figueretes to choose from.

The proximity of Ibiza Town has affected the gay night life in Figueretes, it has not, when you take into consideration the number of visitors who actually stay in the area, ever really developed one.

Monroes, one of the longest standing gay orientated bars in Figueretes has slowly been joined by a number of other gay bars, a couple of great restaurants and a gay sauna. With Space being just at the end of Playa Den Bossa, it is possible to have a night out without venturing into Ibiza town.

Figueretes also provides some great views out to sea, and a secluded gay beach, for those with mountain goat trekking abilities. Late afternoons are a great social time around the cafes and bars in Figueretes, with those returning from the beach stopping off for a drink, and or a cake. Café Central is still there, but sadly now without its garden, which was one of those 'out of place' treasures, that is very much missed.

Generally you will find the night life here less 'international', much more relaxed than Ibiza town and the bar prices much cheaper.
