Bar JJ was one of the first gay bars in Ibiza, and was certainly one of the first bar in Ibiza that I ever sat down at. (I fell down at the rest with a small stagger in-between.)

JJ's has an atmospheric terrace, which has grown to take in the terrace of Mo Bar Opposite (Ex Galleria) - (Mo Bar didn't close, it just sort of stopped opening).

Bar JJ is always busy, with most people stopping off for a quick one at some point during the night.

Four years ago, the bar was taken over by the long standing member of staff, David. That's the ever-so-handsome, unnecessarily charming and ageing ever-so-well David, to the left.

It is worth venturing inside the bar for the view alone (from the balcony overlooking the harbour, not just the barmen (Juan below and the perfectly formed Francisco on the right).

JJ's bar always seems busy inside with 'regulars', and new visitors. David will remember you even if you haven't been for a number of years, and JJ's owes a lot to his personality and the effort he makes to give customer whatever they want. (Including Guest list passes to most of the gay nights in Ibiza.)

The bar is welcoming to everyone - and proudly sports 2 tourist board glasses on a little plaque outside
