VENUES
venue - noun
the place where something happens, esp. an organised event such as a concert, conference, or sports event : the river could soon be the venue for a powerboat world championship event.
I know, it's bloody obvious, but if you are arriving in Ibiza for the first time hearing about - 'Amnesia on Wednesday' - which did actually refer to La Troya, which last year moved to SPACE, even though the party (in name) did continue at Amnesia. If you pick up a club listing magazine, they only occasionally appear to get things right. But the more you pick up, the more confusing it can all become. So, make it all up yourself, relax and go where the mood/crowd takes you.
There are number of venues in Ibiza, particularly those in San Ann, which we haven't ventured to (over the past twelfty years), usually due to lack of time, or more probably interest.
Though the majority of the mega-clubs (outside of San Antonio) usually attempt one gay or "poly-sexual" orientated party a week, these will by no means resemble anything that you may be used to, but hitting the right club, on the right night, may give you a fresh perspective on why so many people fall in love with the mega-clubs... But do not be surprised that if like some of the less refined clubbers (myself included) that you cannot tell the difference between one night and another.
