Sitting comfortably in between Ibiza Town and the Airport, Space has become an Ibiza Icon and legend in it's own right. Irrespective of the parties held there. The club has a respectable capacity by Ibiza standards, and attracts some of the worlds more dedicated clubbers - who go to dance, especially in the morning, when a totally new batch of tanned, toned and totally untouchable dancers will arrive with the reopening of the doors from the night before.
The club is spotless and possibly has the cleanest club toilets in the world. All of the basics areare well looked after, i.e. the lights, sound and video equipment work.
If you have been out enjoying the mayhem of the new Home Of La Troya on a Wednesday night, you will probably not enjoy FAKE the following morning, which appears to be generously attended by gorgeous, unfriendly, totally spotless, personality-less clubbing clones, whose sole purpose in life appears to just 'be there' and look as disinterested as possible. (Whoops, ranting).
All of the island's main gay and gay friendly parties, are held at SPACE. Home Of La Troya, GORGEOUS and MATINEE are here so there is little point in bothering to troll off anywhere else (with the exception of Scandal, and Heaven).
You do have to experience Space at least once; it is quite amazing, and well deserves its international reputation. If, for nothing else, go just to see how far you can go, and still be convinced that you look and smell great.
Some of the best 'carry on' parties are also held here, so if you do spend a night in AMNESIA or PRIVILEGE, you may still find your-self carrying on at SPACE...
The venue was recently remodelled, it is big, but feels intimate, with low ceilings.
The best value for money drink in the place was a small bottles of CaVa which was 9 Euros.. Until 2007 when it jumped t 12 Euros. The best place to drink is on the roof terrace - which is not open quite often enough.
Space in Ibiza is the only place where you are guaranteed a better morning after, than the night before.
Finally... There is a chance that all clubs will be barred from opening before noon, in 2008. We can wait and see.
Most clubbers visit as an extension of the previous night, or an extended weekend, which saves on wasting valuable holiday time sleeping and having to get ready for another night out.
