We are very pleased to support and recommend the gayibiza map.
The map folds very nicely to fit in your back pocket, and is laminated so it can be wiped clean. Go on collect all 4!
For those of you looking for a traditional map of the island which will give you an idea of the whole Island, along with some panoramic views of the beaches, click here.
If you are printing from the web-site, the map prints out perfectly on A4 at 300 dpi. It may take a short time to download on slower connections.
The online version will always be the most up-to-date, but the map will be available everywhere in Ibiza (apart from a couple of places that think it is a little too English...(?) Not worked that out yet).
This map was tested on a native Mandarin speaker, (against his wishes as it was hot and sunny and he wanted to lay down, in a vain attempt to go a little darker) - the map passed, no problems were reported. Even so, there are those on a mission to insist that the map is actually of Glasgow and not Ibiza - we believe this may be the dawn of a new religious sect...
Finally, the map is:
[1] according to the rest of the world, 'the wrong way around' - it faces south - because Ibiza is like that, and it fits the most confused internal directional compass better. You may, if you wish, view it upside down or sideways. We don't give a damn.
[2] The map is relational, i.e. it shows where everything is in relation to everywhere else. (There is a clue in the outline of the Dalt Vila, and the harbour.)
If you have not been before, go to the end of the harbour (the town side) - turn right up the steps, and work your way back, it will take about a day to reach SPACE.
The map on the left is produced by the local tourist board, and is just about the best street plan of Ibiza Town that you are likely to find.
It is available from the tourist kiosk in Vara De Rey, the office opposite the main ferry terminal down on the harbour, or any of the tourist offices dotted around the Island.
Other maps are available, one or more in just about any business that has its doors open.
