Note: The local dignitaries decided to change some of the street signs and official forms over to Catalan, from Castilian a few years ago.
This will probably (a) mean nothing to you (I can barely get worked up about it), (b) be reversed again at a future election.
I have used names commonly in use - or for the main gay streets (strangely, with the most extreme changes) I have listed both.
NOTE: Telephoning home. Spain switched from 07 to 00 for international access some time ago. Most guide books are still wrong. e.g. to ring the UK from Ibiza, first dial 00 44, then the UK number (leaving off the first zero of the area code).
Last word, post boxes are yellow, and buy your stamps with your postcards - if not try the nearest tobaconist - they sell stamps! (apparently it is the same in France...)
The Post Office in Ibiza Town is so cool, (air-con) once you get in there you may not want to leave - if there is a queue (line) you may need a coat...
