Located in the Dalt Vila, on the lower road, between Can den Para and La Scala, El Bistro is fortunate to be in a very quiet atmospheric setting. The restaurant has a small interior (which is great early or late season) that is complemented by a large terrace, the restaurants main selling point. El Bistro is owned by Alfredo, who is perfectly obliging, charming and welcoming, visit more than once and you will be welcomed like family.

The food is excellent, Spanish/Argentinean/French, (ok, international) and provides excellent value for money. As usual, this year's menu is great. The fish has always been particularly good at El Bistro, especially the catch of the day.

Like most Spanish restaurants, the meat tends to be served very rare, medium if you ask for well-done, and cremated if you dare send it back on a very hot, very busy night. (I have never asked for 'Rare' anywhere in Ibiza as the thought of 'it' hitching up its skirt and making a run for it is just too much.)



All in all, this is an excellent, intimate restaurant, with consistently high standards, that is very popular with both locals and visitors.
