These pages focus on cafes and quality restaurants popular with gay clientele in and around Ibiza Town and Figueretes. Most could be described as gay (straight-friendly), rather than straight (gay-friendly) and have some, if not all, are gay staffed/owned.

There are hundreds of restaurants in Ibiza and I intend to add more each year. If you would like to include your favourite, let me know. The restaurants listed are included here simply as for one reason or another (atmosphere/value/quality etc) they are great...

Most establishments fall into identifiable bands of style and quality. Pretty easy to spot anywhere in the world (ok, except France, where I remember the food being very good.)

In Ibiza you can even get a snack and a large vodka in the launderette (Suggestion: get pissed, put on your headphones, have a bump, and get in the mood for Space, or just enjoy the spin).

Should you ever be tempted, it is best not to buy from anywhere that serves shrink-wrapped 'toasted sandwiches', and packaged hotel food is, at its best, bad - compared to what is on offer elsewhere.

As is pretty much the norm, fish restaurants are generally found around the harbour, and Chinese restaurants spring up anywhere there is the space. The best Spanish restaurants (usually steak-based) can be found inland and are well worth exploring if you have a car - if not, and a restaurant has been recommended, take a taxi.

Fast Food: Burger King, Kentucky, Pizza Hut and McDonalds are (unfortunately?) here, and Kentucky and Pizza Hut deliver - for when you really have done too much partying. So take your mobile.

Frequent visitors to the island may find that most of the better restaurants catering for tourists seldom change their menu.

Finally: If it is good, TIP. 10% is normal.
