LA BRASA Have you been here? Please send us your comments and or updates.

Season: All year
19:00 - 01:00
La Brasa is situated below the city walls on C/. Pere Sala.
The restaurant is small and simply decorated inside, making it particularly cosy (not fluffy) out of season.
In season this small intimate restaurant opens up into a huge garden terrace, which provides an amazing atmosphere for a long slow dinner with friends.
(Anti-Mozzi spray is a must in summer, unless you are one of the lucky ones who 'never get bitten' - the secret is???)
The restaurant is one of the higher priced in Ibiza town, if you do not mind paying a premium for the setting, or, love to be seen to be spending, you will enjoy it here.
This is one of the few restaurants in Ibiza, that I have witnessed covering their salads in salad cream*, not mayo or aoli. Be warned, it is like having a mouthful of yogurt when you thought you had asked for vanilla ice cream.
The food is consistently good, and the service is friendly if, on busy nights, a little over stretched. The seat cushions need a bloody good re-stuffing so if you do intend making a night of it, take something soft to sit on...Otherwise nothing bad to report. Book early (it does get very busy) and give it a go.
* It is thought that salad cream is: 1] a British invention (an accident more like). 2] A by-product of the black plague. If you never have, try it, it is disgusting, foul stuff...
