The central playa reopened a couple of years ago, after years (possibly 10 years) of just sitting there looking like me last summer - lost and unloved...
The rooms are clean, with a revamped 70's feel, but now have air conditioning. Apart from that, the hotel is a basic tidy tourist hotel in a good location, if not a little noisy on the lower floors.
The hotel is directly opposite the Taxi rank in Figueretes, next door to Café Central, a supermarket (that used to be a swimming pool - true), Abra Tours the travel agents is across the road, as is the beach, Soledo restaurant, the gay sauna, Monroe's, CUBE Bar, Kitsch and the rest.....
The Central Playa is definitely centrally located in Figueretes, and only a short walk in to Ibiza town.
Reception staff are friendly, don't appear to give a bugger as to who you take back with you (or on occasion who they give your key out to). Safe deposit boxes are in reception. USE THEM!
