The El Puerto is not two minutes from the harbour and Burger King it is large, busy, open all year and is 'in' the town.

The rooms are typical of the average holiday hotel (room for two singles, and a wardrobe), some of the hotel rooms (well, those I have shagged in) have been re-furnished recently (so there is none of the expected 'traditional' heavy dark brown wooden furniture). Ceiling fans have also been installed, (so no bouncing on the bed).

Some of the self-catering ("efficiency") rooms, are still in need of a refurbishment, and look very dated-and-tired, but are larger than normal, with a kitchen area that you will never be tempted to use.

The location is great for Ibiza Town, but may be noisy, from harbour and road traffic. (The ferry does arrive early, and swapping-over 30 Coca-Cola trucks is not a silent process.)

The pool is great, but this place is absolutely full of straights in mid to high season with loads of kids.

Other than that, it is well located, friendly, and not too expensive.
