Hostel is Spanish for small hotel, and the Talamanca is just that. The staff are gay-friendly, and providing you are discrete, the night porter doesn't mind you receiving the occasional gentleman caller.

Keep the noise down, most of the hotel's guests are Spanish, and like a quiet relaxing holiday, unless they are out by the bar, having a get-together, eating or drinking, in which case go down and join in.

The hotel rooms have recently being refurbished, and almost all have a great view over the bay (with a great sunrise - but noise from the terrace bar), or views over the port and Ibiza Town (which is a great sunset).

The hotel is very clean, tidy and efficient, without being too expensive. The hotel reception are always happy to call cabs for you, although the walk to town is not too far. This is a great location for a lazy beach holiday if you are not too bothered about it being totally gay, and the hotel is within easy walking distance Pacha/El Divino, and Lucifers, if you like the clubs.

The beach front bar serves food and drink all day, and the food is ok to good.
